Cape Fear River in Wilmington, NC, stunning on its own, is highlighted by nearly two miles of Riverwalk and that is just the beginning! In addition to natural beauty the Cape Fear River area in Wilmington has antebellum architecture lining its banks as well as beautiful gardens ready to astound visitors. After a day of touring the plantations of Wilmington, visitors can take a horse drawn carriage ride, or take a ghost tour before sampling some great port city cuisine. And with the area so steeped in history try a guided history walking tour of Wilmington, or a haunted pub crawl through the watering holes of Wilmington. Just over the bridge spanning Cape Fear is the Battleship, open to visitors, highlighting our brave men who fought over 70 years ago. Beautiful downtown Wilmington has so many things to do, but don’t forget about its neighbors; Kure Beach, Carolina Beach, and Wrightsville Beach.

Cape Fear River Adventures:
I’d like to invite you on a trip of a lifetime. We go into the backwaters of the local rivers to capture our beautiful wildlife up close. Here in Wilmington, a vast amount of our history is on the river. The river is full of mysteries form sunken ships to the oldest known living Cypress trees, including a 2500 year old Cypress found in the “Three Sisters” swamp. We use kayaks and canoes for larger groups into these narrower places and our 24ft Carolina Skiff or 18ft Simmons for groups up to six. Come join Capt. Charles Robbins for a treasure hunt, a boat ride, fishing for fun, camping, kayaking and canoeing on the Cape Fear River and its many tributaries, we enjoy focusing on teaching kids and adults about outdoor skills!
